East Preston Neighbourhood Plan

Following a successful referendum in January 2015, the East Preston Neighbourhood Plan was made by Arun District Council on 11th March 2015.

On Tuesday, 30th September 2014, Mr Richard High, the independent examiner contracted by Arun District Council to examine the East Preston Neighbourhood Plan submitted his report confirming he was happy the Plan - with a few minor changes - could proceed to referendum. The East Preston Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group addressed the suggestions made by Mr High, and submitted the updated Plan to Arun District Council which has agreed it should proceed to referendum on 28th January 2015. Polling cards have now been distributed across the village. Please check you know which Polling Station you should attend.

On Monday, 30th June 2014, the East Preston Neighbourhood Plan 2014-2029 Submission Plan [pdf] 1MB was submitted to Arun District Council as the next stage of its journey towards becoming a legal Planning document. This is the result of the extremely hard work of a small, dedicated team of councillors and community volunteers and input from residents across the village and even some interested parties from outside the village.
